FOUNDER & priNcipal
Janelle Thon is the Founder and Principal of Nine Design. She is a licensed interior designer from Puerto Rico, creating positive experiences and inspiring people to enjoy a better lifestyle.
Thon’s work specializes in residential and commercial projects. It is her goal to enhance people’s experience with the world and improve their lives by designing their space full of good energy, functionality, beauty and soul.
Thon studied at Loyola University New Orleans graduating with a bachelor degree in Advertising in 2004. That same year, she moved to Miami and worked for Porcelanosa, a global leading company for innovative design. It was at this time when she acknowledged the power to transform a space and realized that her true passion was interior design.
Later on, Thon decided to study at San Juan School of Interior Design in Puerto Rico graduating in 2010. Since then, she has been an active member of CODDI (Puerto Rico’s Association of Interior Design & Decor Professionals, LIC 1693). In 2018, Thon decided to move back to Miami and become a member of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers, LIC 2012276).
Throughout the years, she has collaborated with recognized architects, developers and designers providing excellent outcomes. A contemporary minimalist design is what represents her style the most by capturing the spirit of the client and the essence of the space, fulfilling their needs and dreams.
